Anyone know anything about this frame? It seems too good to be true. I wish he had some geo specs posted. I figure I am going to have to get my LBS to do a whole bunch of frame prep work but thats ok with me. What do you guys think?

trons 12-03-07 07:31 PM

It's a KHS Flite 100/Mercier Kilo TT with what looks to be a kind of ****ty paintjob. Do it if it's your size.

Astronomical 12-03-07 09:45 PM

Nomco also manufactures IRO.

bonechilling 12-04-07 01:50 AM

Nomco doesn't manufacture ****. They just buy a bunch of frames for cheap, give them a crappy paint job, and resell them for a few bucks more. They also must read the forum, because they had a ton of group buy IROs that they were trying to sell for $400-ish. Most of them ended up actually selling for less than the $150 + shipping cost that they must have paid.

I seriously can't conceive of how they profit from this strategy.

The worst thing about Bike Snob is all the really pathetic imitators. People without a writing talent (and poor reading comprehension skills) who see Bike Snob as validating their fears about people other than themselves entering into cycling.
