There are no bids but the bids would start high, from 110 euros, so about 163 USD. It's NOS, though.

He doesn't say if it's for clincher or tube wheel, and yes, the weight is a mystery.

HAhah, I think they're "stars." Possibly even speed stars!? OOOOooooOoo! I don't even know if I could handle all that bike. Really though, with a can of paint thinner and a few lucky hits on ebay, you may even be able to get your money back after parting it out.
I love it when people say, "man I got this bike for 7K only 10 years ago, it's so fast and so "aero" you're lucky I'm letting it go for so much less!" R-tarded.
I'm all for older bikes and loads of steel bikes are still very competitive and beautiful, but don't try to sell your antiquated tech as though it's going to help some poor 'lanceite' break the sound barrier.
:p

Is $300 a good price for this?

It's not worth it. I got this for $350 and was my 1st track bike when I was getting comfy with fixed riding. Came with Campy Record hubs and crankset.

I'm just trying to say it is possible to get a better deal:o but you're right. sorry about that

reedreeder 02-26-08 11:48 AM

where'd you find that anyway?

Gyeswho 02-26-08 01:05 PM

At my bike shop. He said didn't know how I could ride it and wanted to give it that cheap since no one wants them around where I live

No one wants vintage track bikes with full Campagnolo groups in New York?

no more like Bronx residents don't ride them too often (or even know). He had it up in the top floor collecting dust. Only reason I found out about it was because his worker told me about how he fixed it up when he saw I was riding a conversion

WTF? This guy is nuts. I really hope that no one uses the BIN; my faith in humanity would be completely shattered.

I was just coming to this thread to post that auction. That is an example of an overpriced conversion. The above $300 conversion I don't think is that overpriced. It has Deep V/Formula wheelset and they sell normally for $200+ by themselves new. It looks like a low end gas piper probably Japanese made frame, but with half way decent parts on it. I build conversions to sell often and use the vuelta wheelset from ebay and mine are always around $250-300.

wow, this is just comedic. slackkkk geometry, seat hugging the top tube (i thought only beater girl bikes had that?), seat lower than the DROP bars (maybe the first time i ever saw that on a fixed, ever), deep v's on a beater (every newbie's favorite!). too bad it's an NJS price in a newbie market.

NitroPye 02-26-08 10:36 PM

I know this isn't fixed / ss but these are CLASSIC.

Someone give it a good home: http://cgi.ebay.com/BRIDGESTONE-MB-1...QQcmdZViewItem

The bars and bar ends are clearly not stock but the rest looks original and in great shape. Could be converted if you want it has horizontal drops.
