I think I would at least want cranks for that price. I am not sure what SR model the frame is (was), but you may have basically bought some used deep Vs.
|
mannn...the frame is in really good condition aside from some scratches...no dings or bends. the wheel set has basically been ridden for 1 month, but yeah i guess i jumped the gun a little. i already have an extra set of peddles, so i guess im not out too much...

I can't quite read the name off the bike, but it looks like its decent quality (judging by the welding in the frame). But i could be totally wrong. What would be a reasonable offer, and would this be a worth while fixed gear conversion? Thanks! |
I believe that says Benotto on the side. It's a good looking bike; probably nicer componentry and bar-end shifters!

I know this isn't a SS or FG but was wondering if anyone thought this was a good deal. It's a 1990. I wouldn't mind having a geared bike. Thanks |

Well i missed out on that deal, but someone is selling a
55cm Lemond Maillot Jaune frameset for $250 http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/bik/662644067.html Is this a good deal? would it be a good frame to use for a fixed gear conversion? Thanks! [edit] wait a minute, why does that frame look nothing at all like: http://asheville.craigslist.org/bik/608345769.html or any other pictures i can find of Lemond Maillot Jaune bikes from that era. Something smells fishy. |

I believe the one in Asheville is the European aluminum version, while the Vancouver bike is North American steel. The LeMond would make a very poor fixed gear conversion, but a very find road bike.
