Apparently NOS is worth much, much more than 20 track miles.
The fact that they're laced to tubulars reduced the value. If you'd cut them out of the wheel, they would have sold for more. I've learned that lesson the hard way on several nice wheelsets -- tubulars really cut down on the market for your wheels.

true. i couldn't sell my c-record hubs laced to tubulars for 250 (brand new conti sprinters and brand new rims) but I cut the hubs out and flipped em for 350. so lame.

Check out the other auctions, there's tons of other track stuff there, including a DA 10 pitch cog, and a 55cm TESCH track bike!

That was one of the reasons I got my Soma. It came with Campy hubs laced to tubulars. It will be used on the track though.

Thought about it for two seconds and told myself I'd be doing a disservice to common sense and a damn fine build by trying to make a few more bucks.

You know you've got a problem when you (i.e. I) have a pair of wheels coming in the mail, it's -24C out, you have a couple projects on the go, and it's hard to pass up this

There's a relatively new fella in PGH who rides a giant Gan Well Pro pimped out in the latest NJS fineries (Grand Mighty crankset, Kashimax saddle/tt protector, Nitto jawns, etc). You should find him and ask to borrow his bike for a few moments of glory...or drop $3,000 yourself. I'm sure Gatto would be thrilled to place such an order for you.

Now tell me it's not worth 50 bucks.

I don't mind spending some money on a bike like that Pinerello, but the problem is, I have not seen anything like that in my size for sale anywhere and I look at craigslists all over the country and ebay I have an auto search emailed to me daily. Nothing in my size. If I rode a 56 or 57 I would have had what I want long ago. A Pinerello, Colnago, Cinelli, Masi or something. Just not out there at all.

The seller relisted it for a reasonable BIN. So I bought it now...well, three minutes ago anyway. Should be a good one. The parts alone will be worth it. (Superbe tubulars, TA cranks and BB, Nitto NJS bars, Salsa stem, King headset, custom Carbon frame.)

Does the seller combine shipping?

If you have the coin to pay new, why not check out GHV bikes?

They have Colnago, Pinarello, even a Merckx 7-11 team frame in 60cm. You'll pay, of course, but those frames are out there.
