Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? WEINMANN rims are the best!

Better than campy, mavic, ambrosio, wolber, velocity, sun, total hotness and simply the absolute crème de la crème.

Did I mention my last name is WEINMANN ?

Actually, weinmann is pretty much middle of the road. More on the strong side and less on the light side. I had a set of weinmann box rims and they were bombproof. If you get those dp18s let us know how they work out. It looks like a good deal.

$130 is a great price for some Deep V style rims if you're on a budget, but I'd be betting those things are absolute tanks, heavy as ****. I roll with a Weinnman in front on my Raleigh, it's middle of the line I guess, seems to be heavier than a Velocity Aerohead going by the bathroom scale weighing method if that tells you anything, and that's just a regular old box rim.

I was going to order some of the Titec risers just for this purpose, until I realized they haven't been in production for a couple of years...

Phil front wheel, bladed spokes, radial laced:

https://cgi.ebay.com/Phill-Wood-Hub-wheel-assembly-20-hole-flat-spoke...

It's a road wheel, but "Phil" is spelled wrong, so this might stay cheap.
