Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

i'm sure you wont make it any harder on yourself by posting that frame here since its not a good frame for converting.

Looks like horizontal drops, although they look pretty small. You could get lucky with the chain length and then youd have the 1/2 inch of play to tension it.

But it could easily be a nightmare to convert.

GAH! well apparently i'm not very good at this whole hunting-for-a-vintage-frame-to-convert thing. I'm pretty close to just breaking down and breaking out the wallet to get a new frame like an IRO angus or similar.

I did see this though: https://cgi.ebay.com/1992-1st-generat...QQcmdZViewItem
but i really want to build the bike myself, i figure that way i'll learn more about bikes in the process.

You will but dont pass up a good deal if you see one. I was building a bike but then bought a pista for 250 and continued building a conversion in my spare time. I've since parted together 3 bikes.

Kinda cool, yet very tall conversion for cheap-ish.

Yeah but not $300 worth a look. I would haggle that. Otherwise, cool frame.

Wow. Good pictures and a good/embellished description go really far these days. Expect to see a huge influx of C-dales in the next few weeks as folks cash in. Nutty.

This is neither SS or Fixed but I think that I will bid on it, for obvious reasons.
