What do you guys think of this as my third Univega? I ran into the ultimate Univega appreciation thread here and think this one is pretty pretty sweet:

Never rode Campy parts so I'm kinda excited. Thanks

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=009

or, found this one too:

Mint condition, never been ridden '85 Custom Maxima 10sp

i think it's a decent buy. i'd just keep in mind that there are some $300-350 new-bike options out there as well. if you're going to put new bar tape on this, new pedals, clips and straps, and maybe a new seat (unless you're cool with the women's seat), a front brake (unless you're cool with brakeless), the added costs might make it a touch more expensive. Also, some people are against using cogs that small (13 teeth on this one, I think), due to increased tension/wear on each individual tooth... but maybe you have to ride super hard for that to be an issue.

honestly, i think that's a really good buy - and i've never recommended anyone to buy a conversion on here before. it's solid steel, and nice geometry, for considerably less than most other ****ty conversions sell for these days.

tie-dyed stuff has always seemed so nasty to me, but color aside, i'm sure it's a great bike.
