Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

What is this and is $120 way too much? He's light on details - is it worth checking out?

Do either of these seem like good deals for a first SS or Fixedgear?

both are too expensive. generally when they are already made into beater ss/fixed gears they are too expensive...

Go for it. Try to bargain a bit if you can--how voraciously depends on what the components are.

The bars aren't a bad deal either. It's not easy to find b123's in Canada for under $90 after tax.

Newb to bikes in general. Looking for a summer project. Daily checking of local CL turned up this https://flagstaff.craigslist.org/bik/682177508.html please let me know what you think as I know very little about much of anything. Good deal? Good frame? Thanks...

Had to shrink photo but hi res pic shows tires are trashed as well as saddle/bar tape. Looks as if sitting since the 80's.

mid-80's 58?cm hand-made Tommaso road bike. Columbus SLX steel, Dura Ace rear deraillur, Shimano 105 shifters, SunTour front, Campy headset, seat post, and 53/42 cranks, Modolo bars, brakes, Mavic wheel set. Lots of little dings and scratches, but frame is straight. Hot pink and white in color, yeah I know, but it was the mid 80's and originally from a shop in Miami.
