that thing may be a little much for some, i know a few poopoo contrasting lugs and such, but that embodies a lot of what i currently long for; straight blade fork, lugged 1 1/8th stem, paul dropouts. heck just tweak the color and i'm willing to sign on the line.

still don't know how I feel about lugged threadless stems.

I'm back a forth between the stem. I like it, but also think it is over kill. However... I would kill for that bike.

I like the frame and stem but the paint/decals are a little much.

ANy body know what kind of seatpost that is? It looks like the Dura-Ace fluted from the 80s or 90s.

I agree, that bike's a little flashy for me. Without the decals, and maybe if it were painted a less obnoxious color it might be a nice bike. If that were black with chrome lugs I think that'd be hot, though.

That typeface, in all caps, makes me want to puke. And when I puke, it will look somewhat like that frame.

i love how custom bike builders put so much effort into detail and then when it comes tho their ****ING DECALS they use microsoft ****ing word and one of the 10 fonts that came with it.

this is making me wonder. is there a custom shop that doesn't have a hideous logo?

I actually love the frame, but, judging from the seatpost position, why would you get a custom bike thats too big?

I don't really see what you're referring to. But since the fork hasn't been cut yet, and the BB hasn't been installed, I'd guess that the seatpost hasn't been adjusted yet?

Thanks! The only reasons I can think of are using longer cranks than anticipated, builder error, or getting the Rivendell-style fit without a super-rise stem. None are really good.

Either the frame is way too big, and the bar is waay to high or the frame & bar is ok but the saddle is waaaaaaay too low.

I suppose size could be limited by wanting to run 700c wheels without much toe overlap. The frame looks pretty small, so maybe going smaller just wouldn't have worked with the geometry. Or maybe he just likes his bars level with his saddle.

It may be a really small frame, which I didn't notice first, so that explains why so little seatpost is showing... But having the bars that high on a custom... sort of clashing in my opinion. WTF do you need a custom frame for if it's going to be a grocery getter & beach cruiser bike for a 100-year old with severe back pain?

I'm pretty sure that it's ok to have a custom bike frame made, even if you don't want to have handlebars that sit four inches below your saddle.
