Short reach brakes?
Who makes 'em? I've got a set of Mavic GL330 28" tubulars on my track bike and need something in the 35-40mm range. Thought I'd be fine brakeless on the R2T, but I had 2 rabbits dash in front of me in about 5 miles, and caught a couple deers out of the corner of my eye in the brush!

The ultimate short-reach calipers are made by Dia Compe. They have a couple models of ultra-short reach, but if I recall correctly, it's the Gran Compe's (which came in a couple different configurations) that were all very short-reach:

Check www.yellowjersey.org since they usually have that kind of thing. You can also find them on eBay pretty frequently.

...this could be tough. the gran compe's are a minimal 37mm, I used my mycrometer, looks like no more then 35mm is what I need.. My best bet may be to get 39-49 arm's with a lot of meat at the top of the brake pad slot to file out 4mm. the Compes have that elliptical slot, so they are out. Thanks for the link, though. I emailed them, bet they know a solution. A reversed drop bolt (ala Sheldon Brown) may work too, but man it would look funky
