Ghetto double toe straps.

Ok so i've been searching for a picture with pedals rigged up with ghetto double toe straps. I just got another pair of straps, and want to run something of this nature until I get a strap pad made. I have mine set up with one strap in the normal position, and one towards the front of the clip which is running over the top of the clip.

Anyone have pictures of a properly done version of this? Or at least instructions? I was reading some older threads where some people were explaining, but i'm a complete idiot and didn't really get the jest of it.

No, the other hole toward the toes.

FWIW, Soma's new double toe straps are great and only $36.

Yeah I got a pair about a week ago or so.
I love them so far.

The difference between single straps is much greater than I expected.

i run mine like that but with GS-9 and since there is a place for online one hole i run both through the outside and one through the inside and the one that doesnt go in the inside gets to go thru the cage. it has been working great. hope that makes sense.

I'd be interested to hear what people say about the Somas after they've been running them a while. I wonder about their durability/life span.

Oh, and here's something I'm working on...

I may actually start producing these things for sale once I finalize design and production details and can get my hands on some laminated straps for sizing purposes. PM me if you're interested.

anyone ever have problems with their toes smashing into their cages and killing their feet? i had to switch to plastic cages, cause the metal ones hurt too damn bad. not sure if i just needed a larger size or what, but i couldn't hang.

how do they compare to the other, more expensive doubles? im running the errebi sprints right now and they're (as i understand) prone to breakage? i'm interested in the somas though--let's see a review!

depends on what shoes i wear. unfortunately the stiffer of the two pairs of shoes i ride with (shimano touring something) runs my toes into those jams more than my 3 year old puma anjans but it really isnt that bad.
