Frame logo
I've been looking at a frame for a friend, and it appears to be Italian. No one, including the shop, has any idea what kind it is. I don't have pictures, so this sounds stupid, but the logo is engraved on the seatstays. It looks exactly like this: = G = ...anyone recognize this? I looked up Guerciotti and they had a star around a G, and Giordana has that swirly logo. The dropouts are Gipiemme but I don't know if they make/made whole bikes. The serial number shows it was made in February of 1992. There's no other markings, the frame is a repaint.

The logo in the seatstays on both sides is a = G =
That's all there is on the bike. and a serial number dating it to february of '92. I've been looking all day at Italian bikes with G and haven't found it yet. I know I can't describe the lugs on here without pictures, but the panto'd = G = should be enough. Maybe I'm optimistic.
