i still have money it cant be done.. who wants to bet? especially on that bike.. the front fork would take too much of the energy

can someone do the math of how much force it would take to boost a 160 lb stoker over the top? thats a pretty big lever... im not believer

Shiznaz 10-27-06 11:43 AM

If the back rider tried to do the biggest bunnyhop in the world at just the right moment then his weight would be minimized as far as leverage is concerned.

ryand 10-27-06 11:45 AM

****, i'll ride on the back. it can totally be done. but i will need to borrow shiznaz's helmet. sorry shiz, but you're gonna have to send it over after halloween.

Shiznaz 10-27-06 11:47 AM

As long as you put it up on youtube

ryand 10-27-06 11:51 AM

but of course. this is for science...

or at least the science of being dumb and having a good time with a bike.

160 lbs is almost an average-sized dude... why can't we have a smaller person (110 or 120) to make the deal a little more fun?

ryand 10-27-06 12:15 PM

no no, **** this. lets double the money if we can flip it over with me on the back wearing a backpack full of bricks. this can totally be done.

Better yet, have the guys at Mythbuster to do it. Nevermind, they would probably use their crash test dummy as the stoker.

sloppy robot 10-27-06 12:18 PM

sure.. get a 120 lb dude.. as for the bunnyhop.. think about it..

theyd have to continue the bunnyhop as tall as the tandam is from the seat to the front wheel..like 6 or 7 ft? I donnt think anyone can bunnyhop that high.. especially half a bike.. and once their weight starts coming back down..like i said.. thats a big ass lever

maybe it can be done.. but i wont believe it till i see it

ryand 10-27-06 12:18 PM

it only counts if somebody gets hurt.

i want mythbusters to do the myth of "if you put soap/an orange/insert object here into a sock and hit osmebody, it doesn't leave bruises. i have a feeling they will turn that one down though.

nuts on stem. both people. totally gonna happen.

SpiderMike 10-27-06 12:22 PM

Now I just need to know, is this going to be done on level grown? Would going downhill with enough speed be cheating?

sloppy robot 10-27-06 12:31 PM

whered all the math nerds go? crunch these numbers please

juvi-kyle 11-30-06 06:27 PM

This **** would be too easy! Someone post the link with the MTB tandem w/the blow up doll.

i went bike riding. it's ****in 70 degrees out. not sure exactly what numbers we're talking about, but i'm in the "i'll believe it when i see it" camp as well.

loaf 11-30-06 07:08 PM

believe it or not, I'd like to see it.
