Nice conversion! I was planning on converting a Nishiki just like that a while back. It had been locked up with a wimpy little cable lock outside Einstein Bros for a couple months without moving, so I was going to talk to the manager about it to see if they were going to do anything about it. Unfortunately, it disappeared a before I had a chance to talk to him. Anyway, enjoy it!

Thats unfortunate--this was actually a $15 Goodwill find, and it provided some VERY nice vintage Suntour/Sugino parts for other projects. The frame was rough when I got it, but I used a two step semi-abrasive autopolish and then shined it up with T9 chain lube and a rag (you'd be amazed how well this works) and voila--doesn't need a repaint anymore.
