Bikes: Check the sig to find out

yea learning how to trackstand on both sides is absolutely mandatory (i think so). then it takes patience and paying attention to the way your bike feels, your balance, and i think the key is the angle of the wheel turned. just look at me do it (hopesfully it helps someone else): https://youtube.com/watch?v=kRdqzb21nTc
p.s. - i love going sorta straight backwards. that's a tuffy but very fun. i do it toward the end of the vid.

Trackstanding both sides and, more importantly, at more points in the circle than just roughly horizontal seems to be helping, but I'm not getting them yet either so maybe practicing them has just made me a better trackstander.

I completely agree. I start with dominant foot forward, then I try to get going backwards as fast as I can. It'll make you fall over faster, but it'll pull you through the deadspot. Which is the trickiest part. Also, practicing on flat, smooth ground is infinately helpful. Good luck.

That looks great gyeswho! you look real comfortable with the backwardsness to be able to cruise like that.

I can do them, I just can't describe it or give techniques. I'm still trying to do them clockwise with my left leg through the frame. Haven't mastered that one yet.

oh man. this thread is right on time. i made my first controlled backwards circle. i ussualy do them completely out of luck. trackstanding in any direction helps. also being able to track stand in any position with any foot helps as well.

whats funny is that i pulled this one off on a 50cm frame. otherwise, on my 62cm frame its a draw.

da fuk?....looks like fresh backward riding to me (we could all use to practice, even pros, but, so what)...seems more like YOU need more practice cause you don't know what you're talking about

not all criticism is meant to be harsh. His post said "reverse 360's," and those weren't reverse 360's. He's not bad, just a bit more practice.
