if you report anything stolen to the police their first response will be "the chinese did it".
okay maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. but it happened to 3 different friends of mine in different incidences at different kobans.
osaka's also the only place i've heard of (witnessed it actually) snatch and grabs. happened in board daylight at shinsaibashi.
a couple weeks ago my friend had his saddle stolen. must have been the chinese too. (-_-?)

I'm dubious about the black anodized "Campag NJS" headset and the 18t NJS cog -- i've never seen an NJS stamped cog over 16t, not sure why Campag would have one... and obviously the bars aren't going to be NJS stamped -- they're both chopped and anodized.
AND LEVEL THE GODDAMN SADDLE. Eesh.

Back then when Campy made cogs they went over 16T, As did Shimano and Suntour.
I agree that it seems to be painted black (Aftermarket).

...and those chopped bars just make no damn sense to me. If you're going to chop your drops, WHY ARE THEY NOT FLIPPED? You've reduced the amount of working hand positions and gained nothing other than bars that look like they have the palsy. Just sayin'.

Ha! Dope photos, I was there last month - Punch Cycles. That red Samson was ill, it wasn't for sale though, no matter how hard I tried to convince him. Did he change his mind? My Nagasawa was right between these two in your photo...

When I first saw that I thought to myself, "I'm glad he didn't anodize the campy stuff," and then I realised that he actually did anodize the seatpost. Doye.

I see Punch, Carnival, and that hip-hop store whose name I forget.
$3000 or $6000 for a samson? Not only is that a pretty big price range, there is no way in hell someone would pay that much, even in Tokyo. You can get two or more new Nagasawa's for $3-6000.
