Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I beg to differ. Actually I don't beg, I simply demand.

Now you have hit a sweet spot in my heart and a lurker has had to take a couple of quick pictures of some things I had in my office. The Colnago Master Profilo pursuit bike is one sweet riding bike. It tracks beautifully and is a joy to ride durning a quick lunch hour break. The Masi TT is in line to build up as a period correct bike. The Pogliaghi will probably be built up as a fixie to be used when I don't want to take out the Colnago pursuit.

You're gonna need a really steep hill to spin out with that gearing!!

These bikes are so hot.

Well, except the fact that they all have quill stems.

One day I shall ride double carbon disks on the street. This will also be the day that all the various forums spontaniously combust, and dutret hires an assasin to track me down and finish me.

When you run double carbon disks on the street, you're gonna fly away into the 32nd story of a building when the wind picks up!

Hopefully!

That's the plan. As I will be equipped with an aero parachute, I intend to be the first track bike/base jumper, and take this whole "fixie tricks" thing to the next level.

*wonders if matching chute to bike is important*

Yeah, let's see it.

And yeah, those ones that I posted are mostly team bikes, the Moser is the one that Moser himself attempted the hour record on. Dunno if that is the bike that he set the record on or not but yeah, most of those are professional TT builds. Here are some fixed conervsions, likely BF members, I dunno whose though.

^^^^Weird, I didn't see your post but here it is; that Moser that I pictured earlier was only the bike that he made his first attempt. This is the one that he set the record on, looks kinda painful:

Something Japanese:

That takes 52x15 gearing to a whole other level.
