bikes and birthdays
its my birthday!
-woke greasy and had to shower
-not enough time to pour myself a cup of the coffee i made
-its freezing out
-nose runs for most of the morning cause of the cold commute
-spill my entire cup of free b-day coffee at work during break
-sped 30 of 45 minute break cleaning the break room floor
-stuck behind hipster riding down broadstreet and lose out on 5 minutes of my a short dinner break at Jamaican D's
-who rides fixed with just a back brake
-get a flat at 530
-fix flat outside in -10000000degree wind chill (kelvin scale) with my gloves on and no tire levers at 730
-get another flat at 930 on my way home
-walk bike to the el
-bum talks **** on my bike
-its freezing
-walk bike home
-notice the happy b-day email from BF and am motivated to post...then edit my post cause it was dum
i complain to another roommate about my day and he tells me about his last birthday. he had ridden fixed down the shore with some friends and ended up sleeping on a bench in ocean city in only a tshirt and shorts (sleep isnt the right word).
justification for thread: any ****ty b-day stories that somehow relate to SSFG? and even more relevant to the forums... should riding on a tire that isnt sitting correctly (where theres a bump in it cause some of the tire isnt in place correctly...hard to explain) going to cause a flat? i swear ive done it before and it just worked itself out. what a long post!

what ?
sorry about your birthday..
did you pinch the tube under the tire's bead ?
that would give you a flat
