Fixed drive chain noise 1/8"

now you're at 12.027, 450 miles.

that's a stretch of .003" in 200 miles. first stretch was .024 in 250 miles. i'd actual say that it's settling in and not getting much bigger. .003" is a frikin pubic hair is it not?

Also, shouldn't you replace at 12.0625"?
(to quote sheldon "reformed chain smoker" brown: if the rivet is less than 1/16" past the mark, all is well).

p.s. don't mind me, math not my thing + too many beers...
(i'm sure it's all there in your post maybe i need to see an equation)

...wait.
12.0625 - 12.027 = .0335"
.0335" / .003 = 11.8
...i'm getting it...

anyway. this only works if you can confirm that now the chain only stretched .003-200mi.
either way a high maintenance chain, for sure...
Yeah pretty much that, the chain will initially settle in. I guess if you change it at 1/16" I've got another 12x200=2400 miles left.

so, izumi v, $55 = 3000 miles.
mileage-wise that's about when i replace my chains anyway. but there is a noise issue. mine is noticably loud whenever there is light or no pressure applied to the cranks.

i have had good results w/ kmc so i may go back...

these things are hyped and priced like they're the best thing out there, & i just don't know of any chain that's as pretty...

op, glad you have your issues resolved...
