Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

what's kinda funny is that bike is also sold as "cayne uno", but it's a totally a mystery bike.- i picked one up cheap from lbs, cause i got a great deal, but there is literally no company called cayne that i can find online or whatever...

dude @ the shop speculated that it was a surly that never made it to market, but i doubt it.

not a bad whip at all for what i paid for it, though i am curious about its origins.

Bikes: A little of each

My guess is that the title said "no decals" but the description clearly states (in italics) that the decals are applied. Only a guess though.

I thought that the no decals/decals was funny, but also that the frame is clearly a Cayne Uno frame, but there is no manufacturer anywhere in the description. does sun sell these as frames only?

What's the deal with the "fenders" on the rear dropouts?

Possibility:
Thinking from a mass-market manufacturing standpoint: Easiest way to sell bike with different dropout spacing? Use the exact same frame jig, just weld on a different dropout.

Same as Surly style dropouts. Gives the seatstays much more surface to be welded on to=stronger.

Sounds credible enough. And those dropouts/ends are the ugliest ever. Just gross.

they sell that bike as a complete at a shop by me. i actually just helped my friend decide between one of them and a 925. $200 for the frame is pretty steep in my opinion. i think they are selling the complete at that shop for $450. oh yeah, he went with the 925.
