Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Well my Merckx Corsa, hand made in Belgium has an Italian threaded BB...

And now I see someone already said that...

My IRO (Mark V) came as completely assembled as a bike-in-a-box can be. Dropped seat/post into seat tube, mounted bars on stem, put front wheel in dropouts, spun on the pedals, added front brake and handle, taped the bars. That was it. It took 30 minutes in the kitchen.

Tony's wife answers the phone when he is busy (which is often). She doesn't attempt to provide tech service. It's more reliable to email him. I never had a message go unanswered.

It sounds like you're responding to me... so after reading your response, I realize I should have specified that I only bought the frame and not a complete bike. Do you know if that changes things?

Are IRO frames made in Italy? Hell no. Why was the caller even asking such a ridiculous question? Has anyone ever heard of a steel frame made in outside of Italy that has an Italian BB? I sure haven't. It sounds like the caller is the one who doesn't know what's going on and is trying to sound way smarter than he is.
Ziemas, just for my curiosity.
Are you located in Riga? if yes, how often do you ride there since 9 months of the year it's either raining or snowing or freezing? How's the seen for fixies?

Yes, I'm in Riga. I commute every day to work, rain, sun, or shine. There are three of us in Riga who ride fixed, and one guy in another town.
