Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Anyone here

Get gas while riding?

Last few days I've been letting enough go that I might require a smog check, or even be labeled as a gross poluter.

Anyone?

oh no...anyone remember that thread 2 or so years ago that was about how riding fixed keeps you from being able to fart? kinda reminded me of that mr. show episode where he couldn't crap on the american flag due to the colors somehow making it impossible to make a movement.

I have gas 24/7. Being vegan makes it 10x worse.

I have hummus gas... really bad hummus gas.

This morning I thought I blew a hole in my saddle. I think it was the deer stew I had last night.

hummus gives me mad gas. and it doesn't take much either. Like 1 pita sandwich worth of hummus gives me gas well into the next day.

oh yeah, i eat a ton of hummus too, i'm not a vegan but i just love the taste... i was going through a tin a day but had to cut back, it was startign to get old after a few months and i can't have that happen! lentils i like too and that seems to not give me gas, the secret is in soaking beans overnight before you cook them.

Oh man Lentils are so wonderful!

They don't really give me gas either. Just amazing taste! I love them in sauce over noodles.

hah! i bet my vegan gas kills your vegan gas tenfold. i destroy mo's with my stuff. i can eat a freakin' eggplant sandwich and will have gas for like two days. don't even get me started on the effects of soyrizo. that noise is like the blue angels air show.
