badevilcow 03-01-07 05:27 PM

i'm just posting because everyone else did

ha

if you don't want spam, delete the internet

BuddyMike 03-01-07 06:40 PM

The e-mail I used is clean of spam. Maybe it was something else.... or spammers spelled my e-mail wrong, which is why its long and easy to misspell the words.

barba 03-01-07 06:57 PM

Maybe I am feeling just a tad snippy tonight, but this thread is stupid. Spam is a fact of life and email accounts are free. I keep one to make on-line orders and when it gets spammed beyond my tolerance threshold, I open a new one. Starting threads titled "IRO Bad Choice" over such a trivial issue seems an odd thank you for a good deal.

doofo 03-01-07 07:35 PM

spam is one thing

customer privacy is another

how many other vendors that you buy from give out your name and email address?

dommer 03-01-07 07:42 PM

when do you get the 4500 mill?!?! HOOK IT UP

8oh4 03-01-07 08:30 PM

Wtf

so what your saying is...
you got a killer frame for almost no money
from an company made up of ONE GUY
who seems to have made a small error in how he hooked you up

what is it with BF and IRO?
did you try contacting Tony about this before you posted?
why the do the mods in this forum even tolerate these threads?

If you told me this story in person: I would laugh, ask you why this is such a big deal, then filed you in the mental rolodex under "moron".

Its more an issue of privacy than anything. It's just bad form for a retailer to publish a list of it's customers.

Honestly, I wasn't stoked about it either. Just send him an email. That's what I did and he got back to me the next day. Wanted my order number and said he would remove it. (either that or he's just gonna hit "delete":D "

Done.

666pack 03-01-07 09:59 PM

if you used gmail you wouldn't have that problem pal.
it's not iro's fault you gave them an unpublished e-mail address.

Gordo789 03-01-07 11:40 PM

yeah i was a little disconcerted to see that all of our names and emails were on the group order status page.

Christ, put down the pitchforks, it's not like he sold them to Nigerian scammers... he's a somewhat non-technical guy that made an honest mistake.

If half the piss and vinegar of this thread were instead put into an informative email or phone call to Tony it'd already be over with. But instead, the *****ing here continues.

+1,000. Inarguably bad form to say the least.

Agree. I sent him an email earlier this evenimg describing the iimplications. He seems like a real good guy and Im sure he'll take the page down right away. I hope so at least.

seaneee 03-02-07 02:10 AM

Like I said, already got back to me about it. I'm sure he's on it. All you gotta do is ask.
