I'm Thinkin of Getting My Bag Customized
Okay I have a Chrome Kremlin bag and want to get an extra strap put on by my the dry cleaners around where I live. Do you think they have the machine suitable to do the job? This will be way cheaper than sending it out and having another bag company do it since I know the ppl at the cleaners and they will prob give a good deal. What yall say?

yea thanks. i found pretty good prices on ebay for buckles and nylon. $9 for 25 buckles and $7 for 10 yds of nylon. i wanna use the nylon to make these in case of large loads and the extra ill attach to the mid top portion to give the x strap im looking for. Im gonna use an old bookbag shoulder strap for the extra strap padding to go over my shoulder

Also you could just use seam sealer made for sealing hiking gear to waterproof the seams you make. Show pictures when you finish.

Here's the plan

The yellow clip represents the inserter and the green is the buckle. I used a bookbag straps which has padding in it already and allows for adjustment of the strap as well. By the looks of it it may turn out good depending on how good the sewer does it.

Closed, Open. It's attached by velcro and you pull off the velcro and out comes the shell. Pretty easy. I used some soft foam to make a back cushion in it as well. Not very hard at all but very easy.
here's a better pic i found here
