Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? If there is one thing I just plain dont understand it's the taking the tape off the bars. WHY? I know why, for looks. but even for the all-spoken of hipster there must still be a point where function overcomes form.

The untaped bars are a dealbreaker for me too. I'm with bonechilling. Still it wouldnt take much to make it quite a nice conversion---retape the bars, mount a dummy lever and lose the hanky.

There's not point in having a hood if you can't use that hand position anyway. If it was cracked or damaged, why not. That said, I can't stand it when people run only one standard road lever. Get a cross lever or a dummy lever, dummy.

My favorite part is the flag in the rear wheel saying that it's a machine built POS from Sta-Tru.
It's like leaving the size sticker on your new pair of wrangler jeans.

Other than that I have nothing good to say about that bike.

Nothing says you are "classy" or "hip" quite like a POS saddle partially taped with colored electrical tape that is not quite the same ugly as$ color as your POS bike.

The sheer randomness with which you taped your saddle without any semblence of order or symmetry proves to the word how avante-gard and sophisticated your aesthetic tastes are.
