Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

why? that's not a very big drop- compare it to the drop between a well fitted normal style road frame w/drops, i bet those bullhorns on the pursuit are much higher up than the drops would be on said road frame...

that looks smaller than a 650, or the rear wheel is bigger than a 27/700

Craigslist ad:

Great Mercier bike! - $450 (santa cruz)

Hey hey hey! I have this awesome bike I bought this summer on a whim, its a Mercier fixed gear. I'm not sure what model it is though...either way it has a brand new seat, and specialized pedals. Its in great condition! I really love this bike but its just to tall for me, making it super annoying and uncomfortable for me to buy, so I need to sell to rebuy a new one. I really don't know too much about bikes, so the price is negotiable (although I will not be ripped off, I know that this bike is kick ass). I'll work on getting more info about the model, and other tech stuff, but for now just email me if you're interested. Peace! Slash please don't make fun of how incredibly stupid I look in this picture.

I guarantee that some lonely guy will buy that Mercier at full price just because it's being sold by a girl.

How much do you want to bet that he also cold-set the rear triangle?
