ISO or JIS

Does the Sugino RD crank need an ISO or JIS taper?

Thanks

from the thread regarding the taper of 75's

From what I can tell, the regular RDs are JIS, but the RD2s are ISO like the 75s.

just saw on the fgg site...the 75's use ISO 111 0r 109 spindle length....the rd don't..they use 103 JIS

On the back of the crank, right near the spindle hole, it will say RD or RD2.

doco 03-20-07 07:36 PM

yeah I know, if you want I can give you the email of the guy I bought the dura from...he also had a hell of a time...maybe he might have an idea..pm me

like I said, If I knew what I knew now about getting a 103mm JIS Italian thread, I would have never bought the sugino rd cranks

doco 03-20-07 07:40 PM

just 1 more thing...then I'm outta here

Phils will work..maybe spend the extra bucks and go that route..good luck :)
