Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: Titus road, Fort CX

I know there are some folks around here who know/knew Silver. What happened is pretty sad for everyone involved (tenants, firefighters, etc).

If you feel the need to write something snide about this event - please feel free to, but instead of hitting the "post" button, hit delete.

I have no idea who Silver is, but just reading that article makes me ache for everyone involved. Bike Messenger or not, it just sounds like someone in a place where they need support more than anything. Lock thread?

SF bike messenger convicted of arson.

Alright, which one of you guys was this?

https://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...AGILOPKE01.DTL

"He told officers he had taken psychedelic mushrooms and thought there were bad spirits in his apartment"
"expressing fears about snipers and continually turning the lights off and on"

Be careful out there! Remember, if there were snipers outside, you'd be dead already! Unless you're a ninja. In that case, carry on.

This was already posted earlier today, and was equally not funny. Are we really this disconnected from the pain of our peers?
