Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Whats wrong with resurecting old threads? As long as the thread topic still has relevance, there is generally lots of interesting reading to be found on old threads that has not been read by any current users. There is no statute of limitations on threads, nor should there be. You can add to any unlocked thread you want to. Yes its stupid to answer a ten year old question. But there is nothing wrong with adding discussion to a preexisting thread. It often makes more sense to add to an old thread than start a new one of the identical topic.

Ironically you would get slaughtered, if you were to start a new thread covering a subject, that has already been discussed, even if the thread is 5 years old.

Sometimes you can't win.
