Pimp My Aheadset
Hi
The Surly CrossCheck is turning out to be nicer (=more expensive) than originally planned - no news there, thatīs how build projects tend to go.
Does anyone know where I could find a classical looking polished silver finish headset? 1 1/8", sort of same looks as the old Tange and Campag ones? You know - rounded outer cut shapes? The obvious answer of course is Chris King... but that screams "more money than sense" bit too loudly for my liking. So we are talking under $100 range here.
Any info on brand, cost, link, pics much appreciated!

Quality headsets move bike to bike. I cheap out on them occasionally, but the nice ones I do have have all lasted a long time, stayed in adjustment and moved bike to bike to bike.

How about a Stronglight? I have heard needle bearings work well.
