Eh, the vast majority of people I see with track drops only ride on the tops anyway. Might as well cut off those pesky drops!

I always think the tops of drops are real comfy, moreso than straight flatbars or risers. I don't see why it is taboo to cut dat sh1t. Seems kind of stupid everyone goes apesh1t over it when somebody cuts the drops off. Let people do what they like.

those bars are for doing tricks. you get the best hand position (where you would ride the hoods if you had brakes) and you don't get the extensions that will snag your pants/legs if you had drops or bullhorns when doing leg-over-bar skids
