it ****ing ruled. Two days later and my voice is still shot and my legs still sore. Getting into the last race meant five 250m heats in about 3 hours.....it hurts

The roller race does seem funner to me. And more a more realistic race i think. Use your own ride too.

it is also far more intense it is like nothing else you have to remember to breath and relax and most of all keep that cadence up

cause 24 heats of drunk racing is totally going to work that way right?

i'm getting so homesick for chicago lately and this isn't helping!

Good thing you've got your u-lock key on your arm. You never know when you'll need to lock up your bike inside your apartment, mid gold sprint. Keeping it on the springy keychain eliminates unecessary time spent digging in you pockets that could be better spent drinking PBR.

Oh yeah, that looks like tons fun, in an antiseptic, empty apartment, two lab rats, kind of way!! Have you seen our video?? It was a ****ing RIOT of speed, beer, gambling and metal. Enjoy condo living!

That's a nice setup!

Yes, that is very, very nice looking. The only problem with a setup like that, or the clean-condo setup, is that non-cyclists can't really just jump in and have some fun. This was an event to raise money to bring the NACCCs to Chicago, so the organizers wanted as many people as possible to join in. I know we had some of the bar regulars, who don't cycle, give it a spin (get it?!?).

Yeah, having fork mounts makes it more egalitarian. I can't ride rollers for *****.

Some of the regulars in the bar were betting on our races.

I hope I won someone a packet by beating your ass... :)
