But what if i have spent time on smaller and larger sizes and happen to find the smaller sizes more comfortable, and like the handling and the look, thus making more likely to ride. is it still silly?

to be honest- i don't know.. but the range from a 54-58cm bike is huge... thats like roughly a 6-8" differentce in body height..

sprintcarblue 04-01-07 08:30 PM

What ever happened to personal preference? Different strokes for different folks? ect, ect?

Rusty Valiant 04-01-07 09:35 PM

I was about to make some crack about shoe sizes being like bike sizes and proper shoe size being unrelated to preference. Then I remembered last year's bike was a 54 cm, and this year's is a 63 cm. So yeah.
Which is to say if you prefer to cram size 12 feet into size 7 shoes, go hog wild, man.

C'mon, people, you can get the exact same position on a 54 and a 58, bars and saddle relative to each other and the BB down to a mm, quite easily as well.
They may handle differently, but one is not necessarily worse than the other.

You guys ride track bikes on the street, often brakeless, so pls stfu about bike fit.

As to the question, WHERE THE HELL ARE THE PICTURES???
:)

DoshKel 04-02-07 06:10 AM
