Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Should I Start Saving?

It has come to my attention that one of my LBS has an NOS Cannondale Track hanging from the rafters. It has a full complement of all NOS Superbe Pro components sans pedals (which i have a set anyway). Im not sure what the rims are since i cant get it down, but they are tubs and the tires are not and have never been glued, the rims would probalby be replaced but I am getting ahead of myself ... They want 699 for it, im not sure if i can bargan with them because they really aren't looking to get rid of it (its kind of part of their bike museum type stuff) but its still for sale. Should I spring for it... I really like but i dont know.... I need opinions.

Ooh. Personally, if I was in the market for a new track bike, I'd do it.

i'd say go for it, but sell off the rims and tires while they're still new. an extra $150 for new rims + a good wheel build isn't so bad because that already sounds like a pretty damn good deal.

Bikes: Clemente Custom(not built-up), TI Raleigh Record SS, VitaSprint Mixte SS, IRO S.E.(coming) Ibex Trophy Pro

Superbe Pro?

I'm hitting the online yellow pages!!

The worst thing you did was come here with that info.

I'm not really going to buy it but some people have no mercy with stuff like that so keep it to yourself, THEN come here and show-n-tell.

Superbe Pro Drivetrains are hard to come by... NOS? Even more! Borrow some money or sell yourself.

Get that bike!
