Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Several decades ago, I had enough common sense to dub myself a copy of RAD.

Also, I'd like to add that I've always hated Eddie Fiola.

the dvd re-master HAS to be imminent?

right?

I showed my GF last night; I was so excited. I was like "You can't even get a copy of this anymore!"

She said "There's a reason for that."

Serously, I watched it edge to edge and I was in a flashback coma the whole time. This move was HUGE for me BITD. This and Thrashin' were the penultimate. We used to wrap our arms up to our elbows in ducktape when we'd coffin down the hills in the old hood.

BTW, I'm in:

...and i'd like to add that i've always LOVED eddie fiola. he and ron wilkerson were my favorites as a young'un. and after i saw eddie at a demo and realized he was about as tall as i was at the time, he won that contest hands down...
and now he's a stuntman, and his myspace page has some amaaaaaaazing pics on it from the freestyle years.

you can't mess with that.

is there a bmx/freestyle hall of fame? i would totally pay admission to get a look at some of this stuff.

alright, time for me to go make a mohawk out of stickers for my helmet...

I have the original "Rad" VHS in box, as well as "BMX
Bandits." Well, actually my brother has them, but since
our mom bought them for us, I think I have as much right
to them as anyone.

Also, is that a "Rad" soundtrack LP or a "Rad" laserdisc?

It's the LP. Unfortunately don't own the laserdisc or the movie poster.

Can't wait for these...
