Looking for fork recommendations

I pulled the trigger on the '07 Bianchi Pista Concept. Should be here in a week. The stock fork is not drilled. The jury is out on whether it's safe to drill the stock fork and will remain out...well, I have dismissed the jury from my court. I am getting a separate fork and probably some bullhorns for road training use. The stock fork and bars will be used on the velo.

Looking for a 1-1/8 fork drilled for front brake. Any suggestions?

Me too!

I'm looking for the same thing, myself! I've been looking up and down the web for one. Well, finding any fork drilled for a brake is easy. Trying to find one with track geometry (35mm of rake or less), for an integrated headset, has been killer. It's proving damn near impossible.

I'm unsure if you're looking to preserve the geometry of your pista, or not. But in my searches I have come up with a few track forks, drilled for a brake. However, finding one for SALE has yet to bear fruit.

Here are the ones I have found

https://www.planet-x-bikes.com/track/...sition=256:256
But they are not offering the drilled one for sale. The one pictured below, appears to not be drilled.

https://www.feltbicycles.com/index.ph...tk2frameset_07
But this fork is part of a complete frame(set)

https://www.spiuk.com/home/productos-...ing.asp?id=330
The page makes no reference of this nike's fork being drilled for a brake. Having seen this bike on Fixed Gear Gallery's Interbike photos. A hole for a brake is clearly visible. https://www.fixedgeargallery.com/repo...y2/77x1000.jpg Also part of a complete frame...

I'm not sure if that was any help. But I'd be very interested to know if you find a fork, with track geometry. I'm hoping the Sages of the forum will be able to help, as I am looking for the same thing... maybe.

Any luck on this search?

I'm thinking of getting a concept and would also like to swap the fork for road use with a brake.

I've been continuing to search, there is also a Trek T1 fork that has 35mm of rake, and is drilled for a brake. However the Trek's fork's crown fades from red (the colour of the frame) to black.

The Felt TK2 fork has 25mm of rake, and is drilled for a brake. The Felt TK2 fork is all matte black, with a Felt logo. Right now I'm looking into getting a LBS to order in a Felt TK2 fork.

Of the two forks, the Felt's fork most closely matches the geomtry of the Pista Concept's (28mm). The Trek's fork would really clash/stand out on a Pista Concept, with its red fade. It would also make a Pista turn more sluggishly/lazily. Both are carbon, and suitable for an integrated headset.

I don't mean to steal/change this thread from Incognit0. But I would imagine preserving the geometry is something that he/she is considering. I am slightly surprised that not many have had suggestions/recommendations.

For a black fork, some other options are:

Planet-X:

Nelson Cycles: seen here on one of their frames

Wound-up's road fork - nice 35mm rake, works well on track/street.

How much is your shop asking for the fork?
