dqm/trackstar project in reverse
a track-inspired bmx bike:
http://www.bmxmuseum.com/bikes/diamondback/2675 well, pursuit geometry anyway, if not fixed... dunno if this was covered in the previous post. i couldn't bring myself to wade through all the whining, but i thought this was bizarre enough to post here. enjoy. |
that is so awesome...when I fianlly become a frame builder i so wanna make a track geometry fixed cruiser...
|
Weird... Wonder what its intended specialty is...
|
i just clicked on the comment thing and apparently a number of bmx companies made these (haro, hutch, schwinn) and their intended use is RACING AROUND PARKING LOTS, diy velodrome style. who knew?
the risers/disc/pursuit geometry combo was too much to pass up... |
I had a Haro one back in the day. It was the ****.

GPVs were downhill machines, right? no drivetrain at all? sometimes modded upside-down bmx frames?
i seem to remember an article about martin aparijo and josh white and those guys being really into it... |
I always thought it was a joke (GPV's). I saw an article in Freestylin' or BMX action or something.
|
i can see bmxers making their own custom gpvs to mess around with on the weekend, but the formula 1 stuff seems weird. several different companies with their own lines of pursuit mtbs for racing around parking lots? anyone know if it had a name?
not very fixed/ss related, but there doesn't seem to be a mtb funnybike forum around here. |
The disk/white tire combo remind me of the Huffy Sigma
|
nice cinellis
