Gentei's got them for about $130 I think in the Large - I got mine for a steal because it was a sample and the faux suede was a lil faded... They're getting more in soon, as well as the backpack.

i would be worried about spending a lot of dough on a bag even if it was custom that could turn out to be uncomfortable
i dont care how well designed and made a bag is
if it feels like **** on my back it is worthless to me

this is the bag size for reference (size xl)and its taken before it had the custom logo on it

Also, $130 is a steal for Japanese "cut and sew" - haha

can someone explain to me what a floating liner is?
does this mean that the waterproof liner is basically a second bag inside the outer bag, and the seams aren't sewn together? just joined at the bag's opening?
what are the pro's/cons of this idea?
i'm about to get sewing... cordura in the post.
thanks.

For those that do a floating liner, do you just stitch the inner bag to the other bag along the top seam and then put the binding around it or do you just put the binding on at the same time as you joint the two bags? Is there anything else used to support the inner bag or is it just the seam along the top of the opening? Also, what do you usually use for inside dividers and pockets? Do you guys just use cordura or do you use something lighter? I would love to make a bag and am interested in some of the details. Thanks.

dude just triple fold the edge and stitch it all the way around or if you are lazy use binding or strap webbing to make the seam look purdy
yes cordura all the way it is best to attach the pocket and dividers befor eyou get the two bucket shapes built if you know what I mean
