Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Full-time graduate journalism student at Ohio University, studying the trade/specialized business press. I hope to work for a magazine such as Concrete Monthly or Steel Grating Weekly someday. I also teach InDesign and Photoshop to undergrads as part of a graduate assistantship. Nothing too exciting, really.

I'm also staff writer and designer for a campus-based magazine.

Welcome! I used to wait tables at North Third, have you been there? You should come out to some of the many Philly (Loosely) organized rides. And then there's this little race this weekend... April Fool's. Come on down to the Tuesday/Thursday stuff once the weather gets nice. Details can be found in the Attention Philly Members thread in the regional stuff.

just dropped out of school, starting my own messenger business (first and only in my city) and hopefully not having to work much of my serving job once the business starts.

I work for a consulting engineering firm. My group specializes in airfield lighting and navigation design. So I know about all those lights on the runway and the antennas and whatnot that bring the planes down niiice and gentle-like.
