I just took it apart today for re-paint and new parts. My new townie completed today! Yay! I try to get a proper digicam from somewhere...

Here's my 24" Hiawatha with 26" rims and tires. It'll go anywhere. I think it was made in '46.

Schwinn World Sport conversion. I want a Paul's Flatbed type front rack and the rattle can paint job is getting pretty beat, so I might splurge for a powder coat this spring.

Some people keep posting typical stripped-down fixed gears and calling them 'townies'. Nice bikes, but they're not townies. You need practical non-racing crap, like fenders, racks, promenade bars, or what-not.

ooo ok. i just figured it was something you ride around town that takes you places. but im safe since i have fenders and the bottle holders have more than one function:D
