Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: Too many to list!

I did my first MS150 (Pittsburgh - Lake Erie) last year on my fixed/ss machine. There were some hills - especially on the 2nd day, but the 44x18 worked very well. Riding fixed really made for a fun ride. I hope to do the same this year!

Ha. No, but I did reflexively tell a car "on your left" while driving to work & then pointed in the direction I was turning.

Oh yeah, that's pretty common phenomenon for competitive
cyclists or anything else who does 50-100 miles of riding in
a single day.

As a soon to be Texan, MS150 rider, previous Oklahoma MS150 fixed rider: How would the fall San Antonio - Corpus ride be? I would assume slightly downhill overall but I also know what my assumtions have done for me in the past.
