Loose lockring

the lockring on my back cog keeps slipping.....is it because I have a few spacers between my cog and the hub

It could be an issue with the spacers if that means you're not giving the lockring enough threads to properly engage. Does the lockring still thread all the way onto the hub? If not, take a spacer or 2 out.
