it was a good time. thanks high fivers.
Excellent work. I can not wait for the day that I overhear pedestrians talk about all the weirdo cyclist high-fivers.

i almost got a cigarette in the ribcage tonight when this girl stuck her hand out the window while stopped at a red light as i was passing. i was so tempted to grab it from her hand and toss it. i sincerely regret that i didn't.

I felt left out because up until about five minutes ago I hadn't yet had the chance to high-five someone from my bike. But a few minutes ago I was coming towards the library for a long night of studying when I come upon two drunks taking up the whole walkway. I have figured out that you don't give drunk frat people a heads up you just blow past when they stumble to the other side of the walkway. I was barely rolling, waiting for the stumble, when they turn around look me right in the eye and they both put their hands up at the same time. I roll through no handed for the double simultaneous high-five.

Bikes: so many

I just had to bump this thread. I was cruising with my wife and 3 kids on the tandem + trailer cycle + trailer rig and we were passing some mormon missionaries. The one closest to the street yelled, "that's awesome!" and held up her hand for a high five. All three of us (me, my wife and my daughter) gave her a high 5 as we passed! Sweetness!

Bikes: one of each

I pulled a sweet high five while riding past a lady with SF Giants gear on, screaming GIANTS BABY and she had a huge grin on her face just as we slapped skin. What a great weekend.

exiting the light rail car tonight, University Hospital, end of the line, hopped on the saddle and began riding away on the platform (ipod blasting some grindcore, no one else on platform) -- train operator jumps out the front of the street car, arm outstretched, mouthing something, probably trying to tell me not to ride on the platform, he looked really angry!) without slowing down, high fived him and continued on my merry way.

Thought of this thread. There you go.

Awesome.

Everyone at my college rides bikes to and from campus, and I do this a couple times a day. It honestly makes me so happy to be riding in a huge peleton of people on the bike paths and getting a quick high five in. Its usually the best part of my day.

Bikes: a bunch.

Spotted my friend Skylar a block away from me on 10th ave.
We both accelerate towards each other.
We both shift to the near centre of the roadway.
Left arms out.
Wound back pretty far.
Lined up the high five.

*POW*

..my hand stung for like 20 minutes.
Its pretty much a 90km/h high five at that point.
