Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Riding in Williamsburg/NYC

Im not sure if there are specific places to do this so I apologize if there is. I commute just about everyday from Williamsburg into the city and usually do this alone. I was curious if there was anyone else out there doing the same thing at the same time. I leave my house around 9:30 or 11:30 depending on the day. I head home around 8 or 9 depending on the day. I see a few fixies sometimes, but I dont know anybody, haha. Let me know if youre interested in riding sometime. Not just for a commute but riding in general. I dont know many people around here as it is, and even fewer who ride.

I'd love those 9:30 hours
When I ride into the city I ride in around 7:30am. Blah.

Yea, 9 hours isnt much to complain about when Im at the studio, but working that long as Diesel makes me want to shoot myself in the face. Thanks for the site, I applied for a membership so I'll check it out if I get accepted.

I go in at 7:30 every morning, too. I'd like to go even earlier now that the weather's better--the bridge is getting crowded!

The bridge was nice and empty this evening due to the rain.

Yes it was. Amazing how that happens. Same in the winter. I love riding in snow.

Haha, I thought the same thing. I registered a month ago and heard nothing. Yesterday I decided to try logging in and low and behold, it worked!
