chainring chain size blah blah.
been asked before but i forgot and seach sucks.
will a chainring for a 3/32 chain be ok for a 1/8 chain strictly for track purposes?
i ask this because my normal chainring is a 44t which is way too low. i own my stock 48t but it's for my old drive train(which was 3/32) and i wanna start track without having to buy another chainring.
thank you.

So what about for non-track purposes, like skidding? I have a conversion I just setup with a 3/32" sprocket and a 1/8" chain, and the drivetrain seems kind of shoddy. The chainline is good (within 1mm) but the setup is causing lots of unwelcome vibration. Would it be better to beef up the chainring or just use a 3/32" chain?

It'll work fine for everything, but just be a bit noisier.
