Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Not all of us are lucky enough to live sans automobile. I was wondering what other people drive when not on their human powered two wheelers. Here's mine.

no bike rack though? I mean, if you're gonna have a car anyway, you might as well have that option, as opposed to a spoiler...Spoiler looks nice though.

ha...I've never been cool so it's no biggie to me.

What if I get that Hot Topic Bianchi? Will I earn some scene points back or just get put in the hole more?

What year is that? I love the early model CB350s. I used to
ride a 1964 CB160, but I sold it to pay the rent. What great
bikes those are.

Dude this is a case where you make you're own luck.

Sell that... what do you call it? Automobile? and use the money you saved on insurance this year to buy a nice custom built frame, and a bus pass. Then use the money you're saving on gas to pay down the mortgage in that house in that nice suburban community, and the money you make from the sale of the car? A vacation? A lifetime supply of Pizza? Commission a bust of yourself in bronze, and have it erected in your front yard?

I don't know. Spend your money on what you want, but you DO have a choice. Don't blame your choices on circumstance.

Nice old Honda Grif! I've got a '76 CB750K. I want a Stella with a sidecar, so I can take my son for rides. He uses a wheelchair, and can't sit on a motorcycle or a bike.

Here's my daughter patiently waiting to leave on a camping trip a few summers ago.

super clean looking. dig the painted spoon mirrors. nice work.

i had my '00 ej hatch stolen in '05. here's a shot of me during my first season of autocross:

it had a mini-me swap, hks air filter on a dc sports cold air intake, comptech tig welded header, magnaflow cat, apex'i ws exhaust, neuspeed strut bar, neuspeed rear lower tie bar, neuspeed edition koni yellow shocks, h&r sport springs, 15" rota slipstreams, 205/50-15 falken azenis. it handled super well.

i drive a 96 tacoma now.
