Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

An errant piece of flak tore a hole in a wing tank and, like a wounded bird, this is where she landed, not to return on this day, or any other day.

Seriously. All FGG postings should require at least one interpretive element. Love it.

When I post my new conversion, I'm going to shop in a ghost of abraham lincoln in his stove pipe hat riding my bike into heaven and looking down wistfully at ford's theater. june cleaver will be on his handlebars with a fresh pie in her hands.

June Cleaver should be on a pennyfarthing going the other way about to throw a pie at Lincoln. Bonus points for John Wilkes Booth laughing manically on the back.

heh, I am trying to get a buddy to do a painting of Tupac and Biggie holding hands doing doubles jumprope.

but this made me think that them riding a tandem together would be even funnier.
