I hate this thread!

I've never seen the point of risers in general and think cut off bars are stupid as **** is that close enough?

I just don't understand them...

They work just fine on my mountain bike. Putting them on any kind of road bike, I just don't understand. They're not as comfortable as North Road bars, they don't have as many position as drops or bullhorns, and they don't allow you to get in an aero position. I guess I'm just not hip enough to appreciate them.

while there's not exactly a shortage of space on the internet, do you have to post a thread with such drivel? i think risers are silly, particularly when paired with deep drop stems, but do you have to care so much and be so negative?

I like them for just cruising around, but I giggle when I see people doing match sprints on them.

speaking of which, can we pinpoint the first one to put risers on a track bike? I think the first I remember seeing was shants... although I doubt he was actually the first... just the first I remember.
