Erba Keirin Frame
::EDIT:: I meant Erba
Gimme info. Can't find any anywhere. All I know is that they were Japanese Kierin frames that aren't made anymore.
I'm getting one for free from my coach tomorrow hopefully, it should be stiff enough, and wasn't raced much according to the guy who used to race it. It's also purple, not sure what color it's going to be when it's ready to race.
Pics would be cool too.

Comes from Kyoto. Stopped production. I once read the builder now just does sculptures or something.
Dont have pics but ive seen these frames a few times.
Check here maybe

Pics of mine here. Nicest track frame I've ever ridden. Made by a Mr Ogino in Kyoto, Deathhare is correct in that he no longer makes frames except to do repair work for professional riders still racing his frames, and rather does steel sculpture instead. He also did all the graphic design work for the frames. Not a lot of these frames around, they make 3Renshos look common.
Edit: A pic of mine (not the original fork).

Here's one picture:

On the saddle that came with the bike, there is a marking on the underside of it, it looks like it says NJS, but it's not the current stamping. It's made by Fujita Saddles.

So far I'm using:
Sugino 75 Cranks
FSA Vigorelli rings
Sugino 75 Mighty bottom bracket
Look Keo pedals (need to get another set so I don't have to swap from road bike)
Dura-Ace hi-flange 32 hole hubs
Dura-Ace cogs
Velocity Escape tubular rims
Hatta Swan headset
SR Royal stem until I get a Nitto Alloy
Nitto CrMo 40cm deep drop bars
Remanufactured Clement pista tubular tires
and either the purple Fujita that came with it, or a San Marco Concor black suede saddle.
The new color should be close to the same color as the Fujita. Also, I'm not sure what pursuit bars I should use, I don't think I should use anything chromed, because aerobars need to be mounted.
Lastly, the frame wasn't really 'free'. My dad gave me his Mercier Kilo TT, and it had less than 100 miles on it. My coach said he'd trade me frames. So I gave him the Mercier frame/fork/headset/post and he gave me his frame/fork/headset/bottom bracket.

The purple looks pretty good man. Considering these frames arent being made anymore..you might think a little harder about it before you paint it.
Its your frame though...so i guess youll make the call.
What color were you thinking to paint it?

1.) It's a Bowery in that picture.
2.) I race at a National level, it needs to serve a purpose
3.) The paint is in awful condition and there are 3 different colors on it now
4.) I love the color too, but I'm OCD
5.) You'll probably like the new color better anyhow

Should also be noted that I'm trying to get my hands on some replacement decals for both our frames. Sick frames, and at least some of them are NJS-certified. Mine lacks the NJS stamp as far as I can tell, though the paint's all messed up where it would be anyway. In any case, Erba was an NJS-certified builder.

Just getting back from a big race, should have updated earlier.
I went to go check on decals; the dolt wants $500 to reproduce the 5 decals that are on the bike. I said no. My coach has another Erba that he's going to take to a friend who does decals and have them copied off of that frame. So until the decals arrive, the frame is goign to be prepped for paint. I actually found the perfect color match for the frame, it's a Giant 2007 color on the women's FCR (flat bar road bike), but I can't get a hold of it, so I'm still going to use the ultra-Japanese paint that I have.
I've got work, then a ride tomorrow, and then a MTB ride in Southern Ohio on Sunday, so either Tuesday or Wednesday will be day one of prepping.
