i like the black! if you get a izumi chain w/black and gold it would look even more badass. i also have ultragatorskins - i like the brown sides.

my bike did not come with screws for the water bottle cage, i bought them with the cage i got. i took the cage off the night a vitamin water bottle jumped out of the cage and somehow was lodged between my chainring and frame, bending both the ring and the crank arm spider. vitamin water bottle: 1 - sugino rd's: 0.

thanks for the posi responses! the beer bottle is a spoke card from the last east bay mice summer series alleycat, my first and only race thus far.

and to poster abt aerospokes:

my o.g. front wheel was bought used, and needed to be trued badly... the day before i was about to bring it in for that, i found a killer deal on that aerospoke on craigslist... so i jumped on it. i do notice the difference in windy conditions. since i commute, i suppose every bit helps. and AERO IS KEWL DUHHHZ

I finally read the thread for the group buy about 4 hours before it ended. I had no idea what IRO BFSSFGGB meant.

There was a guy at the T-Town swap meet two weeks ago trying to sell a blue one (either 56 or 59cm)for $160.

^^that sucks, there was a group buy for Rob roy's that ended on the 8th of this month.

I like the brown and black build, mine's gonna be similar, except with brown NM Deep v's and brown/black harlequin wrap on the bars, top tube and part of the down tube. I'm looking at getting a darker brown brooks saddle, too.

If someone is looking for a 59c threaded, drop me a line at ptschmidt@gmail.com. I got in a motorcycle accident and won't be building mine.

actually, i think the chrome looks good. i think you should use some oven cleaner/steel wool/chrome polish on that seatpost collar. that would reaaally bring it together. in my opinion, collars and headsets should match.

that's just how it is.

and definitely post when you get that headbadge done.

gotta admit, i threw a taller, shorter stem on, and swapped the major taylors for bullhorns, and i hate my IRO significantly less.

i put that same fork on mine and am surprised by the improvement. no photos yet, though. expander plugs are sort of a pain to adjust.

I've been shopping for sub-$50 carbon forks, mostly pull-offs from other bikes. I was outbid on a Giant TCR fork for $31 last night, which kinda bummed me out.
